July 25-31:
Create & Consume Food Art Week
Get ready for the yummiest art-week yet! Creative inspiration can come from anywhere and it’s time to turn your pantry into a palette. We are going to turn the last seven days in July into thrice daily experiments in visual art turned sustenance. Follow along here and on our social media channels for activities, ideas, and laughter! Make your meals mean something. And play with your food, we won’t tell Mom.
June 12th and 13th: Paint. Hide. Post.
Rock Painting Weekend
*NEWSFLASH* Hashtag your event rock creations and hiding photos/videos with #Enjoyary and/or #PaintHidePost so that we may collect images for our upcoming event slideshow/gallery/video. Don’t have a social media platform? Don’t worry. You may also email images directly to us!
Join us as we paint on some rocks, then hide them around our neighborhoods for others to find and enjoy. Mark your calendars, find your rocks, acquire some paint and scope out your sneaky hiding places.
We have recently uploaded a Youtube video slide-show about the inspiration for this upcoming event. If you are unfamiliar with the history of Enjoyary and rock-painting please visit our Vlog post on the Home/front-page of the Enjoyary website.
Painting tips, how-to videos and hashtags, to follow.
Stay tuned!
April 17th and 18th: Chalk-a-Palooza 2021
2020’s Chalk-a-Palooza was a great success! Over a dozen participants (virtually) chalked along side us and uploaded their creations to social media.
This year’s event will take place on April 17th and 18th.
All too often sidewalk chalk drawing is looked upon as child’s play. Enjoyary says “heck yeah” to embracing your inner child, exposing a bit of butt-crack, getting down on your hands and knees, and getting dusty. The subjects you can tackle are limitless and the medium is often (2020 excluded due to surge-pricing) inexpensive. What is even more rewarding is you will often manipulate the way your neighbours engage with their walk-route. Points if you can change someones path and their relationship with your side-walk. You might even be able to make your mail carrier hopscotch!
Community is the key. Multiple-smilage is the ultimate goal.
Hopefully, sidewalk chalk isn’t against your HOA or town by-laws (we have heard of such atrocious rules; boo-hiss).
Keep an eye on our website’s Front Page for posts and video’s full of handy tips on sidewalk chalk techniques and hacks!
